“We envision our Main Street District as a place of shared memory, where people come together to live, shop, work and play.”

The Hillsboro Downtown Association (HDA, and formerly known as the Hillsboro Downtown Business Association) was originally established in 1981 to address issues affecting the vitality of the downtown district. HDA joined Oregon Main Street in 2010 and is also a member of the National Main Street program, and follows the proven approach recommended by these organizations for revitalization of historic commercial districts.

With renewed interest and momentum, the Association hired an executive director in March 2011, who, with the support of a volunteer board and four volunteer committees, is responsible for carrying out the work of the organization.
